Due to the water crisis in deep tube wells, ponds or reservoirs and river water are being used in village houses. River water flows in the accumulated water of ponds, reservoirs or canals. Deep tube wells are being installed as per the demand of pure water.
Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Abu Taher said it was estimated that about 300 people were suffering from diarrhea and cholera every day due to lack of clean water. And every day 80-95 patients are admitted and treated in the hospital. Excessive temperatures have led to a crisis of pure water. Due to which there is a crisis of pure water.
