Khaleda Zia is suffering from fever
BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia is suffering from fever while undergoing treatment at the CCU of Evercare Hospital in the capital, said party secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. He said this at a press conference titled ‘Budget Thoughts: 21-22’ at Gulshan in the capital on Friday.
Mirza Fakhrul said, “Since yesterday (Thursday), journalists have been asking me about Madam’s condition. The other parameters of his body are the same as before. On the other hand, he has been suffering from fever since yesterday. Doctors are examining why the fever came on suddenly. ‘
The BNP secretary general said that the treatment of fever has started from Thursday night. In the meantime, the process of taking him abroad on behalf of his family for better treatment has started but it has stopped due to lack of permission from the government.
Khaleda Zia received a ‘positive’ report on April 11. He underwent a CT scan on April 15. He was later admitted to Evercare Hospital in the capital on the night of April 26 when his condition deteriorated. The next day, a 10-member medical board was formed comprising doctors from private and Evercare hospitals. On May 3, Khaleda Zia was transferred to the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) due to respiratory problems. Later, on May 5, his brother Shamim Eskander applied to the government for better treatment abroad. However, the government rejected the application. On May 8, Khaleda Zia’s corona came ‘negative’ while she was undergoing treatment at the hospital. After that Khaleda Zia’s physical condition improved a bit.
