The Czech national football team has announced that it will hold its own Euro 2020 training camp in Prague. Scotland has moved away from setting up a training camp in Edinburgh with the introduction of strict corona restrictions. They made this announcement on Saturday yesterday. According to the Czech Football Association, according to the Scottish authorities, if any of the teams were found to have a Covid-19 positive, the whole team would have to go to quarantine.
The FA said in a statement: “According to the play protocol introduced by UEFA, positive players or staff have to be quarantined while others can carry out their own activities. However, this rule is not acceptable to the Scottish Government. Instead of giving any concessions, they have kept the rules tied to themselves.
The Czech Republic will face Scotland and Croatia in Glasgow in Group D of the UEFA Champions League starting June 11. And England will face at Wembley. That’s why the Czech team actually chose a hotel in Edinburgh as their training camp. But now they will fly to Britain from Prague to play the match.
“It’s not possible to go anywhere else in Europe at the last minute,” said Martin Malik, head of the federation. He also said that UEFA would bear the entire cost of travel. The Czech football team will play a friendly match against Italy in Bologna on June 4. The team will play another warm-up match against Albania on June 6 in Prague
