Earlier on April 8, police recovered the hanging body of bank official Morshed from Nahar Villa in the Hillview residential area of Panchlaish Police Station. His wife Ishrat Jahan Chowdhury alleged that bank officer Abdul Morshed Chowdhury was forced to commit suicide due to constant mental stress.
According to sources, Morshed Chowdhury had business dealings with his cousin and the accused in the case. He paid interest of Rs 35 crore. But Morshed was being pressured to pay more. According to Israt Jahan, Morshed told others in the family about the business in 2016. At the time, he told his family he no longer wanted to do business. Although Morshed Chowdhury did not want to do business, the accused kept pressuring Morshed Chowdhury demanding money. He even threatened her in various ways when he went home. One night, Sharun Chowdhury went under Morshed’s house in a car. But he did not get out of the car. However, the plaintiff alleged that Sangopangra got out of the car and went in front of Morshed Chowdhury’s flat and threatened him in various ways.
