The student went missing for four days while submitting an assignment to the college

A college student named Nupur Basu (18) went missing four days after she went to submit her assignment to a college in Boalmari upazila of Faridpur, but the student was not found. She is a class XI student of Boalmari Kazi Sirajul Islam Mahila College and daughter of Asim Basu of Hasamdia village in Chatul union of the upazila.

Ashok Basu, 42, uncle of the college student, filed a general diary (GD) with the Boalmari police station on June 2 alleging abduction. GD number-6. 

According to police and family sources, Nupur Basu left her home in Hasamdia of Boalmari Upazila around 9:30 am on June 2 to submit an assignment to Kazi Sirajul Islam Women’s College. As Nupur did not return home even after 1 pm, she did not receive the call from her family on her mobile phone. Shortly afterwards, the college student’s phone was switched off and the family members went out in search of Nupur at around 2 pm. 

When they reached in front of Kazi Sirajul Islam Women’s College in search of Nupur, they came to know from local sources that four youths had forcibly picked her up from a place called Chaurasta in Boalmari Municipality. Since then, Nupur’s relatives and friends have been searching for her, but no one was found till Saturday.

In this regard, the principal of Kazi Sirajul Islam Women’s College. Farid Ahmed said that the student did not come to the college to submit assignment or book. I saw the register and found out that he did not submit any assignment to the college. 

Boalmari Police Station OC Mohammad Nurul Alam confirmed the disappearance of the college student on Saturday morning and said that the police are working hard to rescue the college student.
