A general lockdown has been declared in Natore and Singra municipalities for a week from Wednesday (June 9) to June 15 tomorrow.
The lockdown was announced in 9 wards of Natore municipality and 12 wards of Singra municipality as the most affected areas in Corona after an emergency zoom meeting on Monday (June 8) at 11pm. State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Junaid Ahmed Palak along with four MPs, Natore Superintendent of Police Liton Kamar Saha, Civil Surgeon Dr. Kazi Mizanur Rahman, Upazila Parishad Chairman, Municipal Mayor, journalists and health department officials and UNO and police officials were present.

The speakers said that corona infection has increased day by day. The number of victims was 7.4 percent yesterday. On the other hand, 285 people were identified as Akant by testing the samples of 265 people without any symptoms through estrogen test. As a result, the virus is spreading rapidly through social media. In this situation, they suggested the announcement of an all-out lockdown in Natore and Singra municipalities as the most coronary areas.

During the lockdown, all businesses and vehicles will be closed except for raw materials, daily necessities and agricultural products.
