Despite Russia making two or two corona virus vaccines, there is no reduction in the speed of infection and the number of deaths. Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine is being supplied to 67 countries of the world, including India. At the same time, 652 people have died due to corona infection in his own country in the last 24 hours. Since last Thursday, more than 20 thousand new cases of corona are being reported in Russia every day. Not only this, an average of 600 people are also dying every day.
In Russia, only 14 percent people got the vaccine
On August 11, Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed to have created the world’s first coronavirus vaccine, Sputnik-V. After this, in October, Putin approved the second corona vaccine ‘EpiVacCorona’ after initial trials. He then told that during its trial, one of his daughters was also given a dose of the vaccine. Despite the first announcement, so far only 14 percent of the population in Russia has been given at least one dose of the corona vaccine.
55 lakh people infected with corona in Russia
According to Russian health officials, so far 5.5 million cases of this epidemic have been confirmed in the country, while the death toll is 1,34,545. Russian officials have attributed the rise in coronavirus infections in early June to the Russian people’s lax attitude towards taking the necessary precautions, the increasing spread of more infectious forms and low vaccination rates.
Know about Sputnik V Vaccine
The Sputnik V vaccine has been developed by the Gamlaya Research Institute in Moscow in collaboration with the Russian Defense Ministry on the basis of adenovirus. Russia’s vaccine is based on the adenovirus that causes the common cold. This vaccine has been made artificially. This corona virus mimics the structural protein found in SARS-CoV-2, which produces the same immune response in the body that is produced by corona virus infection. That is, in a way, the human body responds in the same way as it would respond to corona virus infection, but in this it does not have to face the deadly consequences of COVID-19.
Russia’s second corona vaccine is peptide based
The second corona virus vaccine ‘EpiVacCorona’ has been developed by the Siberian Biotech Company. This peptide based vaccine will have to be given twice to protect against corona. It has been made by the Vector Institute located in Siberia. According to the Moscow Times, Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova and the head of the Consumer Safety Monitoring Organization, Anna Popova, were also given this vaccine.
