The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has got a big success in the Darbhanga blast case. After the arrest of two brothers from Hyderabad on June 30, the agency on Friday arrested two other accused from Kairana in Shamli. In this very sensitive operation, the Shamli police played a great role. The accused have been taken into custody by the NIA and they are being further interrogated.
Shamli SP Sukirti Madhav told NBT Online, ‘On June 17, there was an explosion in a parcel at Darbhanga railway station. The investigation of the blast at the railway station was handed over to the NIA. The agency arrested two brothers Nasir and Imran, residents of Kairana, from Hyderabad on June 30. Thereafter NIA sought our cooperation for further action.
Shamli police and NIA caught two more accused
He told, ‘On Friday, the Shamli police NIA With the cooperation of the two accused Haji Saleem son Mohammad Yasin and Kafeel Ahmed son Shakeel Ahmed Ansari have been taken into custody and handed over to the NIA. Further action in the matter will be taken by the central agency.
Both brothers arrested from Hyderabad, sons of retired soldiers
Both the real brothers, who were arrested from Hyderabad on June 30, are originally from Kairana and are sons of retired soldiers. People say that both the brothers were working in Hyderabad for many years, selling clothes. Father lives alone at his home in Kairana. It has been told that two suspicious youths were caught in the CCTV camera while unloading the parcel in which the blast took place at Darbhanga railway station. After this, on Wednesday, two brothers, residents of Kairana, were arrested with weapons by the team of NIA-ATS in Hyderabad.
Nasir went to Pakistan in 2012, took ‘training’ from there
Nasir went to Pakistan in 2012. Both were informed by their handlers about how to make IEDs through social media. After this, a parcel was made with explosives and other items locally. After that, according to the instructions received from Pakistan, a bomb was placed in the train of Darbhanga to make the long distance train a ‘burning train’. It was kept hidden in a bundle of clothes at Hyderabad’s Secunderabad station, which exploded in Darbhanga.
NIA searched the house of both, found a lot of stuff
The NIA on Thursday raided the residence of both the terrorists in Hyderabad and seized digital equipment and documents used for making IEDs. An NIA spokesperson said that the NIA searched his house in New Melapalli and recovered a large number of articles and digital equipment used in the crime. Soon after their arrest, the NIA had said that the arrested accused were part of a conspiracy hatched by top terrorists of the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba to carry out terrorist acts across India.
