Harish Rawat has written on Twitter- ‘What can be a bigger lie than this that by-elections cannot be held in Uttarakhand due to corona infection and the Chief Minister is resigning due to constitutional obligation. The fact is that by-elections have been held earlier in the same Corona period, Salt has had by-elections and the Chief Minister could have contested from there, could have resigned from anywhere else and contested from there.
In PC, Rawat did not say anything on his resignation.
Earlier, in the press conference on Friday night, Tirath Singh Rawat counted the achievements of his government for a long time and then got up and left. It was expected that he would speak on the news of his resignation in this PC, but he did not answer any questions. BJP Legislature Party meeting has been called on Saturday.
