Mirza Gulzar Baig, Muzaffarnagar
For the last one year, the BJP has also shown its strength in Muzaffarnagar, the stronghold of the Ticket brothers (Rakesh and Naresh Tikat), who have been leading the farmers’ movement across the country. In the election for the post of District Panchayat President, Muslim District Panchayat members became crutches for the BJP. Ten Muslim members voted in favor of the BJP candidate and turned the tide so heavy that the opposition got uprooted and left the polling place. In such a situation, the question is being raised whether the farmer movement has weakened?
The Muslim vote bank is considered the arch-rival of the BJP. Muslim voters vote where the BJP candidate can be defeated. The opposite happened in Muzaffarnagar, where the vote of Muslim district panchayat members in the election of district panchayat president became the lifeblood for the BJP candidate. 30 members voted in favor of BJP which won 13 seats out of 43 Zilla Panchayat seats, out of which 10 members are Muslims.
These Muslim candidates voted in favor of BJP
Husno, Shokeen, Rihan Ali, Saba, Farhana, Shahnawaz, Sadika, Zareen, Julie Jatav and Sureshna voted in favor of BJP’s District Panchayat President candidate Veerpal Nirwan. Please tell that Julie Jatav and Sureshna are Hindus, but both are married to Muslim youths and their vote was also being considered as a staunch vote of the opposition.
Union Minister of State Sanjeev Balyan was caught in a religious crisis
of Muzaffarnagar District Panchayat Election Union Minister of State Sanjeev Balyan was caught in a religious crisis when the opposition had declared his brother Satendra Balyan as the candidate of the District Panchayat President. Sanjeev Balyan was facing a tough challenge at this time whether he should support his brother or the party on whose strength he remains the Union Minister of State today.
In the BJP, voices of internal opposition had started rising regarding Sanjeev Baliyan. The opposing voices came to a halt when Sanjeev Balyan brought such opposition votes into the BJP camp, which could never have been imagined.
keep watching the opposition
The opposition played bets by declaring Satendra Baliyan, brother of Union Minister Sanjeev Baliyan as the candidate, but he got clean bold in front of BJP’s googly. The BJP broke its back by mobilizing the candidates of the opposition in its favor. When BJP raised questions on the caste certificate of Zilla Panchayat member of Ward 43, the opposition stood in its support, but due to BJP’s strategy, Zareen Bano handed over her certificate to Sanjeev Baliyan and here also the opposition had to face it.
