In fact, the accused took part in a mahapanchayat in Pataudi, Haryana on Sunday, where he incited the mob to kidnap Muslim women. At the same time, he also talked about attacking Muslims.
A purported video of this Mahapanchayat convened in Pataudi, Haryana on Sunday on issues like conversion, love jihad, population control is going viral on social media. In this video, the youth accused of firing near Jamia can be heard saying many objectionable things. In this video he is saying, ‘I want to give a message to the jihadis, people of terrorist mentality that when I can go to Jamia in support of CAA, Pataudi is not far away.’ Apart from this, in this video he is also seen inciting people to violence. He instigated the mob to abduct Muslim women. He used offensive language for Muslims and said that when they are killed, they will shout Ram-Ram.
On 30 January 2020, the accused had reached outside Jamia Millia Islamia University with weapons and opened fire on people protesting against the citizenship law. A youth was also injured in this incident. While firing, he was shouting, ‘Ye lo azaadi… Vande Mataram, Delhi Police Zindabad. He was later arrested by the police. However, due to his being a minor at the time of the incident, he was sent to the correctional home from where he has recently come out.
Users on social media are expressing their displeasure after seeing this video. After this video surfaced, the demand for legal action against the accused has intensified. BJP spokesperson and Karni Sena leader Surajpal Ammu was also present in the same meeting. He is also accused of giving hate speech. It is worth mentioning that Ammu had appealed to the people in this Mahapanchayat to make history, not history.
He had said, ‘If you want to make history in this country, if you do not want to be history, then no one should be born Taimur, Aurangzeb, Humayun or Babar Dobora. They are 20 crores and we are 100 crores. Ammu did not stop here, he further said, ‘If India is our mother, then we are the father of Pakistan. We will not rent our house to Pakistanis. Remove them from this country, pass this resolution.
