The department claims that payments are being made only to self-help groups maintaining community toilets. The payment of Rs 1.69 crore is pending. This payment will also be done this week.
After the formation of the new government in the panchayats of the district, payment has started from the state finance, fourteenth finance and 15th finance in the village panchayats. Efforts have been made to pay Rs 2.98 crore in just seven days in 559 gram panchayats of the district. 64 lakh has been paid in this.
1.69 crore will be paid this week. The payment of about Rs 18 lakh has been rejected due to some reasons. The department claims that in the first phase only the pending payments of self-help groups are being made.
Self-help groups have been given the responsibility of maintaining the community toilets built in the villages. The groups had not been able to get the payments for several months. That’s why groups are being paid.
