Heavy Rain In Mumbai: Heavy rain in Mumbai, local train services stopped, water filled the rail track between Igatpuri and Khardi


Intermittent heavy rains are occurring in Mumbai. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has issued a ‘Red Alert’ forecasting heavy to very heavy rains in Mumbai. Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials said that Mumbai recorded 68.72 mm of rain in ten hours after 8 am on Wednesday, while the eastern and western suburbs recorded 58.75 mm and 58.24 mm of rain. The rain had subsided a bit on Wednesday afternoon but intensified again in the night.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a ‘Red’ alert forecasting heavy to very heavy rains in Mumbai. While issuing an orange alert for other districts of the region including Bhandara, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Yavatmal in eastern Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, IMD said that heavy to very heavy rains are forecast here.
