- FRS will ‘Red Alert’ as soon as the suspect is seen around the Red Fort
- Security tightened in Delhi in view of August 15
- Intelligence agencies alerted of the danger of a drone attack to a suicide attack
Preparations for Independence Day are going on in a big way at the Red Fort to keep them completely safe from the corona virus and terrorist threat. Intelligence agencies have alerted about the danger of drone attacks to suicide attacks. Officials engaged in security preparations say, from August 7 last year, the Red Fort was sealed for outsiders. But this time taking extra vigilance, the Red Fort was closed from July 21 to August 15. Due to the high level of preparedness, the ASI took this step by issuing a notification on the inputs of the security agencies.
On Wednesday, Additional DCP of North District Anita Roy said that, keeping in mind on August 15, we have already deployed staff at Red Fort about 2 months in advance. Regular checking is going on in the markets and at Chandni Chowk. Like last time on August 15, this time only 50% of the people will be allowed. 500 high resolution cameras have been fitted under the supervision of the Red Fort. The most important of these is the FRS ‘Facial Recognition System’. This has been imposed so that if any suspect comes, the police can get information about it immediately.
Their footage is being monitored every second by installing CCTV cameras around the Red Fort complex. Apart from Delhi Police, NSG, SPG, ITBP, CISF and other forces are being deployed in coordination with security. Here SWOT and Parakram vans have been installed with commandos. Policemen in plain uniform are also stationed inside and outside the Red Fort. The reality check operation has started to test the readiness of the soldiers deployed in the security of the Red Fort. According to the police officer, in different guise, dummy terrorists are being caught trying to break into the security circle by changing modalities.
