The dispute between the government and the opposition is increasing over the Pegasus dispute. There was a huge uproar in the Rajya Sabha on this issue on Thursday. Now the central government will demand suspension of Trinamool Congress MP from the House on the issue of IT Minister snatching and tearing the paper. BJP will also move a breach of privilege motion against the Trinamool Congress MP.
TMC MPs create ruckus over Pegasus spying case
On Thursday too, the TMC and the opposition were taking an aggressive stand on the issue of espionage through phone tapping. TMC MPs also reached the Rajya Sabha with a pink colored dummy phone. Through which an attempt was being made to show that the government was spying on the people. The TMC MP was also seen waving his phone near the seat. The matter escalated when IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav started reading his statement in Rajya Sabha on Pegasus issue.
TMC MP snatches paper from minister’s hand, throws pieces in the air
Amidst the uproar, Vaishnav could not read the statement but TMC MP Shantanu Sen tore the paper from his hand. Now the central government will demand his suspension on this behavior of TMC MP. The central government will request the Rajya Sabha chairman to suspend the TMC MP for his misbehavior.
Minister Hardeep Puri and TMC MPs got into a scuffle
The BJP also says that the TMC MP misbehaved with Union Minister Hardeep Puri. When the paper was torn from the hands of the IT minister, Puri followed him and protested. After which there was a heated argument between TMC MPs and Hardeep Puri. It looked like there might be a scuffle. BJP says TMC MP tried to assault Union Minister. BJP will come out with a breach of privilege motion against the TMC MP. TMC MPs have also met the Rajya Sabha chairman and presented their side.

If BJP is leaving no stone unturned to dismiss the allegations of the opposition on the Pegasus issue outside the House, then the opposition is absolutely attacking. BJP MP and Union Minister of State Meenakshi Lekhi said that Pegasus espionage case is fake news. This has tarnished the image of the country. Lekhi said that some members snatched the pages from the hands of the minister in the house, this is a lousy act. Lekhi said such behavior is shameful in a democracy.
