The outbreak of Kovid-19 is increasing once again across the world. The cases of its delta variants are increasing day by day. On the other hand, the US dollar is also getting stronger against other major currencies of the world. Due to this, there is a continuous slowdown in the crude oil market. At present, the price of Brent crude has reached the lowest level of the last four months. However, it is not showing any significant effect in the Indian market. Prior to today, only 20 paise was cut in diesel prices every day for three consecutive days. During that time petrol was left as it is (Petrol Price Unchanged). Government Oil Companies today did not change the prices of both petrol and diesel (No Change in Petrol Diesel Price) did. Petrol has become costlier by Rs 11.52 between May and July this year
During the first quarter of this year, there was no increase in petrol prices in March and April due to the process of assembly elections in many states. Therefore, there was no increase in the price of petrol and diesel even after crude oil became expensive during that time. But, since May 4, its prices have increased a lot. Petrol has become costlier by Rs 11.52 per liter in 42 days, sometimes continuously or by stopping. However, after Hardeep Singh Puri became the Petroleum Minister, its prices have been stable since July 18.

Diesel has become cheaper this week after April 15, 2021
Crude oil may be selling cheap in the international market, but here the government oil companies are not reducing the prices accordingly. Anyway, despite diesel being an expensive fuel, it sells cheaper than petrol in India. The reason for this is that most of the buses and trucks here run on diesel. If this fuel becomes expensive, then the inflation in the market flares up rapidly. Assembly elections were held in some states earlier this year. During that time there was no change in the price of diesel for 41 days. At that time, the last reduction in the price of diesel was on April 15. At that time there was a shortfall of 14 paise. But due to the steady increase in it since May 4, diesel has become costlier by Rs 9.08 per liter. After that, there was no change in its price from July 16. Since August 18, its prices have come down by 20 paise per liter per day. In this way, till now diesel has become cheaper by 60 paise per liter. There is no change in its price today.
