- The US dropped the ‘Mother of All Bombs’ on the IS cave in the year 2017
- The GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast is the most dangerous bomb after the atomic bomb.
- After dropping this bomb, America claimed that IS was destroyed.
- Four years later, ISIS brutally killed 13 soldiers at Kabul airport
In the year 2017, the US had caused terrible destruction by dropping the ‘Mother of All Bombs’ i.e. ‘Mother of All Bombs’ on the cave of terrorist organization ISIS in Nangarhar province of Afghanistan. After dropping the GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB), considered the most dangerous after the atomic bomb, the US claimed that IS was over. Contrary to this claim of America, after four years, ISIS has taken its revenge by brutally killing 13 soldiers at Kabul airport.
ISIS suicide bomber Abdul Rahman al-Logari, defying the alleged security arrangements of the Taliban, reached near the gate of Kabul airport. It exploded after reaching a distance of 5 meters from American and British troops. So far 85 people have been killed in this attack and more than 150 people have been injured. This includes 13 American soldiers. On the other hand, the Taliban claims that 28 of its fighters have also been killed.
Most soldiers died in Afghanistan after 8 years
The magnitude of this attack can be gauged from the fact that since 2011, the highest number of American soldiers have died in Afghanistan in a single day. Earlier in August 2013, 30 soldiers were killed in an attack on a Chinook helicopter. Meanwhile, US troops evacuating troubled Afghans to escape the Taliban’s clutches fear that there could be more attacks in the coming days.
ISIS has said in its statement that its suicide bomber has targeted translators and allies assisting the US and the US military. Meanwhile, angry US President Joe Biden has announced that we will not forgive terrorists, we will find them and punish them. US President Joe Biden, warning the attackers of Kabul, said- ‘We will not forgive. We will not forget. We will find you, kill you and punish you for your actions.’
IS takes revenge for ‘Mother of All Bombs’
After this horrific attack on Kabul airport, many experts are seeing it as an act of revenge for IS’s toppling of America’s ‘Mother of All Bombs’. The US dropped a GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB) bomb targeting ISIS in Nangarhar province of Afghanistan. This bomb is also called ‘Mother of All Bombs’ i.e. ‘Mother of All Bombs’. The ‘largest non-nuclear bomb’ was dropped targeting IS tunnels and tunnels in Afghanistan. After this action, US President Donald Trump said that it was a successful operation and we are proud of the army.
The area where the bomb was dropped in Nangarhar, Afghanistan, had a crater of 300 meters. The MOAB has mesh fins that control its weight in the air after being dropped. It is so big that it can only be dropped by a large aircraft. The bomb is placed on a pallet (strip-shaped stand). To take the bomb out of the plane, the pellet is dropped with the help of a footshoot. The bomb is detached from the Pallet as it is pulled by a footshoot and falls on its target. It moves fast and with the help of satellite it is partially guided. In this, the blast is done six feet above the ground so that the scope of the destruction caused by the blast is maximum.
weighs more than the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima
Its explosion is equivalent to the explosion of 11 TNT bombs. The nuclear bomb dropped on Hiroshima, Japan in World War II contained 15 tons of TNT explosives. The purpose of dropping this bomb is to destroy large targets or damage a large military force or weapons fleet on the ground. During the Iraq War in 2003, the US tested the MOAB bomb, but it was used for the first time on a country. Russia later made a four times more powerful bomb than this, which it named ‘Father of All Bombs’ (Father of All Bombs). The MOAB bomb is 30 feet long and 40 inches wide and weighs 9500 kg. This weight is more than the weight of the bomb dropped on Hiroshima.
