A traumatic incident took place on Sunday in Asia’s largest slum in Mumbai. 14 people were injured when a cylinder exploded in a house. The incident took place around 12.30 pm when the women in the house were preparing to cook. All the burnt people have been admitted to the hospital.
It is being told that more than 70 percent of the bodies of two people have been burnt in this blast. His condition is very serious. At present, doctors are treating everyone. Preliminary investigation revealed that the blast took place due to leakage in the cylinder.

The incident is being told in front of Hotel Mubakar in Kamla Nagar of Shahu Nagar, Dharavi. Officials said that of the 14 injured, two people suffered over 70 per cent burns while the remaining 12 suffered burns.

After the blast, fire brigade teams reached the spot and started extinguishing the fire. Two fire engines and a jumbo water tanker along with civic ward level staff were dispatched to the spot.

The fire was brought under control at 12.43 pm, a Mumbai fire official said. The injured were taken to Sion Hospital. The exact reason behind the gas cylinder burst in the house in Dharavi is yet to be ascertained.
