The ‘Times of India’ understands that franchises have become active in arranging players to travel from UK to UAE. The BCCI (Cricket Board of India) had earlier planned to bring the players involved in the fifth Test between India and England to the UAE for the Indian Premier League (IPL) on September 15 by a chartered aircraft. However, due to the outbreak of Kovid-19 in the Indian team, the fifth Test was canceled on Friday, after which the circumstances changed.
According to a BCCI source, Chennai Super Kings has come into action to bring its players. The players will leave the UK on a Saturday or Sunday. Mumbai Indians will arrange chartered flights for their players, while other players are also in touch with their respective franchises. Indian players are quarantined in Manchester, there is no housekeeper arrangement for the team. Until they leave for the UAE, they will be quarantined in the hotel itself.

In this regard, a franchise official said that the players will be quarantined for 6 days in the UAE. During this, the franchises will make arrangements for their players. Apart from Rohit, Jasprit Bumrah and Suryakumar Yadav of Mumbai Indians will leave for Dubai from Manchester with their respective families. Ravindra Jadeja, Cheteshwar Pujara, Shardul Thakur, Moeen Ali and Sam Curran are part of the CSK squad of this Indian Premier League (IPL) which has already started their practice ahead of the second leg of the league starting 19 September . Captain Lokesh Rahul, Mayank Agarwal, Mohammed Shami and David Malan from the Punjab team are in Manchester.
