Model and actress Romana Islam Swarna (40) has been arrested. DMP’s Mohammadpur police have arrested him on charges of embezzling more than crores of rupees from a Saudi expatriate businessman.
He was arrested on Thursday (March 11th) afternoon in the Lalmatia area of the capital’s Mohammadpur. Mrityunjay De Sajal, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mohammadpur Zone, confirmed the matter to Samay Sangbad.
He said the victim had filed a case against Romana Islam Swarna at the Saudi expatriate Mohammadpur police station. In the case, he mentioned that Swarna had taken crores of rupees from him at different times by marrying him through cheating. Mohammadpur police arrested Swarna on the basis of his allegations.
ADC Mrityunjay De Sajal further said that this Saudi expatriate got acquainted with Swarna on Facebook.
