The bodies found near the safari park have been identified, 3 arrested

RAB-1 Gazipur Camp has identified an unidentified body lying near the boundary wall of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Safari Park in Sreepur, Gazipur. The information was given in a press release sent to the media by the RAB around 11:15 pm on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Kabir Hasan, 22. He is the son of Jabiul Islam of Nayapara village in Mithapukur upazila of Rangpur.

Three people have been arrested in the incident. The three arrested are Rustam Ali’s son from Galimpur village of Kotchandpur upazila of Jhenaidah. Masudur Rahman (38), son of Abdul Hakim of Jalalpur village of the same upazila. Abdul Halim, 38, and Laltu Mia, 40, son of Anwar Hossain of Chaugachha village in Jessore’s Chaugachha upazila.

The three were arrested on April 1 in a raid in different parts of the capital’s Pallabi, the press release said. During the preliminary interrogation, they confessed to being involved in the incident. They said during interrogation that they were involved in the incident of finding the body of an unidentified youth under Khangsardi Bridge in Sonargaon Upazila of Narayanganj on March 25. However, the cause of these killings is not mentioned in the press release.

On the morning of March 30, a body was found with scotch tape wrapped around its face near the border wall near the gate number 4 of the safari park.
