Public Administration Minister Farhad Hossain has said that the factory will remain open even after the lockdown on condition of shifting duty and compliance with hygiene rules.
He said this in an online briefing given to the media on Saturday.
The minister said the government was going to take a week-long lockdown decision in a day or two to curb the rapid rise in corona infection.
‘Emergency services will remain open during the lockdown. And industrial factories will remain open. So that the workers can work according to the health rules and through various shifts. ‘
Earlier, Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader announced a one-week lockdown across the country from April 5 at a virtual briefing.
Coronavirus infections are on the rise in the country. The second wave appeared to be relatively frightening compared to the first.
The government has taken this decision due to the deteriorating coronavirus situation. Over the past few days, more than 6,000 people have been infected with corona every day. The number of identities reached close to seven thousand in one day on Friday.
A few days ago, the government issued 18-point directives for two weeks to control corona infection. The directive also restricts all types of public gatherings (social / political / religious / other), prohibits all types of public gatherings in highly infected areas, and discourages public gatherings on the occasion of any social event, including weddings / birthdays.
