The government has imposed a conditional ban on movement and work across the country to prevent the transmission of Covid 19.
A notification in this regard has been issued by the cabinet department on Sunday.
It said the ban would take effect from 6am on April 5 to 12pm on April 11.
In addition to stopping public transport during these seven days, restrictions have been imposed in various areas including markets, hotels and restaurants.
# All types of public transport (road, sea, rail and domestic flights) will be closed. However, this order will not be applicable in case of transportation of goods, production system, jury services. In addition, this prohibition will not apply to those who go abroad / return from abroad.
# Law and order and emergency services, such as relief distribution, healthcare, electricity, water, gas, fuel, fire services, port (land, sea and seaport) activities, telephone and internet, offices related to other emergency and essential goods and services including postal services and Their employees and vehicles will be exempt from the ban.
# All Government / Semi-Government / Autonomous Offices and Courts and Private Offices will be able to bring in and take the manpower required for carrying out emergency work only to a limited extent in their own organization’s own transport management office. Industrial factories and construction work will continue. BGMEA and BKMEA will set up field hospitals and treatment facilities for their workers at convenient locations near the industrial area.
# From 6 pm to 6 am, except for urgent needs (purchase of medicines and daily necessities, medical services, burial / burial of corpses, etc.), one cannot go out of the house in any way.
# Only food can be sold and served in food shops and hotel restaurants. Under no circumstances can food be taken while sitting in a hotel-restaurant.
# Shopping malls and other shops will be closed. However, stores will be able to buy and sell wholesale and retail products online. In that case, the employees must follow the required hygiene rules and no buyer can go to the market in person.
# Raw market and daily necessities can be traded in the open from 8 am to 4 pm in accordance with the hygiene rules. The market authority or local administration will confirm the matter.
# Bangladesh Bank will give necessary instructions to keep the banking system running on a limited scale.
# The Armed Forces Department will take necessary steps to set up a field hospital at a convenient place in Dhaka.
# District and field administrations across the country will take effective steps to implement these directives and law enforcement will intensify regular patrols. This order will take strict legal action against the violators.
