Hackers have leaked the personal information of about 533 million users around the world, including those Bangladeshis. Besides, data of Facebook users of 107 countries including 3 crore 2 lakh in the United States, 1 crore 1 lakh in the United Kingdom and 60 lakh in India has been leaked.

The report says that the personal information of Facebook users has been leaked to a cyber security forum, which is open to all.

The information that a user provides when creating a Facebook profile is basically hacked. The stolen information includes Facebook ID number, profile name, email address, residence address, male or female user, date of birth, occupation and many more.

Facebook has confirmed the theft of information in the media, it came to their notice in 2019. They fixed the problem by fixing some technical vulnerabilities in Facebook’s ‘Contacts Importer’ feature.

Islam is the religion of peace and welfare. In every instruction of this there is the welfare of man in this world and in the hereafter. Therefore, there is no alternative to grasping the Qur’an and Sunnah for the welfare of both worlds. As every instruction of the Qur’an is beneficial for the human race, so are the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him). That is why Allah the Almighty has instructed us to adhere to the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him) through the Holy Qur’an.

It has been said, “Accept what the Messenger gives you and refrain from what he forbids you.” (Surah Al-Hashr, Ayat: 8)

That is, hold fast to the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him). One of the circumcisions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) is Tahanik. Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) said, “When I had a son, I took him to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).” He named him Ibrahim. Then he chewed the date and put it in his mouth and returned it to me with blessings for him. He was the eldest son of Abu Musa. (Bukhari, Hadith: 547)

In another hadith, it is narrated from Asma bint Abu Bakr that she conceived Abdullah bin Zubayr in Makkah. “When my pregnancy was over, I came out to Medina and landed in Cuba,” she said. I gave birth to her in Cuba. Then I took him to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and put him in his lap. He said to bring a date. He chewed it and put it in his mouth. This saliva of the Prophet (peace be upon him) first entered his stomach. Then he chewed the date palm and prayed for blessings for him. He was the first child born in Islam (after Hijrah). So the Muslims rejoiced for him. Because they were told that the Jews had cast spells on you, so you did not have children. (Bukhari, Hadith: 5469)

Imam Nawabi (Rah.) Said, it is sunnat to make tahanik with dates when the child is born. This means chewing dates and gently massaging the newborn’s palate and opening his mouth so that some of it enters his stomach. He said that some scholars have said that if dates are not possible, they can be made into tahanik with any other sweet product. He further said that it is desirable for everyone to do tahanik, as far as I know, no one has a different opinion in this regard. (Sharh Muhajjab: 6/424)

Even in medical science lately, research is being found in its favor. According to experts, a single dose of confection rubbed into the face of a newborn after birth can be an effective and cost-effective way to protect premature babies from brain damage. This is because low blood sugar after birth can have a very dangerous effect on one in 10 babies.

This newly discovered treatment is called gel therapy. A New Zealand research team examined 242 children under close observation and based on their results, claimed that it should now be the first line of treatment. Their research was published in the famous medical journal The Lancet. (BBC)

Whether or not there is research in favor of any Sunnah in medical science, since Allah Almighty has commanded us to adhere to the Sunnah of the Prophet, every Muslim should pay attention to the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him). May Allah Almighty grant Tawfiq to all.
