Bank accounts of 54 leaders including Amir of Hefazat summoned

The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has summoned the bank accounts of 24 leaders of various Islamic organizations, including the Amir of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh, and 30 madrasas. Among them are the district level leaders of the organization. The summons was issued on April 1 to find out how many unusual transactions had taken place in their bank after the anti-Modi movement.

Among the leaders summoned are Junaid Babungari, Amir of Hifazat-e-Islam, Nur Hussain Qasemi, Secretary-General, Muhammad Mamunul Haque, Joint-Secretary General of Hifazat-e-Islam Bangladesh and Secretary General of Bangladesh Khilafah Majlis, Muhammad Mahfuzul Haque, Vice-President of Hifazat-e-Islam Bangladesh Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim, Secretary General Syed Faizul Karim, President of Al-Hayatul Ulaya Befaqul Madarisil Arabia Bangladesh Mahmudul Hasan, Secretary General of Islamic Movement of Bangladesh Maulana Yunus Ahmad and others.

At that time, four scoundrels came and tied the schoolgirl’s face and forcibly took her to the forest inside the park. When the motorcyclist stopped him, the youths tied him to a tree and snatched his mobile phone, motorcycle keys and money from him. After a while, Dulabhai came to the spot and saw the driver tied to a tree and informed the locals about the incident. The locals rescued the girl from the forest and informed Taltoli police station. When the police took the victim to the police station, he filed a case. The student said that Sohag and Hasan raped her. And Mizanur and Jahidul guard.

Aminul Islam alias Saikat, 40, is the only son of Akhter Hossain alias Sabur, a businessman from Nazipur Old Bazar in the upazila, accused of raping a housemaid in Patnitala, Naogaon. An eight-month-pregnant domestic worker filed a case against Saikat in a court on March 22 under the Women and Child Abuse Prevention Act with the help of the district legal aid.
