On the first day of the lockdown, the health department reported 52 deaths from coronavirus in the country.

According to a regular press release issued by the department on Monday, 52 people have died due to corona in the last 24 hours in the country. At the same time, 8,065 people have been identified. 2,932 people have recovered in the last 24 hours.

The total number of identified people in the country is 8 lakh 44 thousand 439 people and the number of dead is 9 thousand 316 people. The number of recovering patients is 5 lakh 55 thousand 414 people.

According to the notification, samples of 31,989 people have been collected at this time. 30 thousand 239 samples have been tested. A total of 48 lakh 13 thousand 624 samples have been tested.

In the last 24 hours, the detection rate is 23.40 percent as compared to the sample test. Compared to the total test, the detection rate is 13.39 percent.

Of the 52 people killed in the last 24 hours, 34 were men and the remaining 18 were women. 50 died at the hospital, 2 died at home. Of the total 9,317 deaths, 7,004 were men and 2,314 were women.
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Sunday said the woman who was with Hefazat’s joint secretary general Mamunul Haque at the Sonargaon resort was not his wife.

The Home Minister said this in a statement issued under Rule 300 on the violence in Hathazari, Brahmanbaria and Sonargaon.

He said Mamunul Haque was staying with a woman at a resort in Sonargaon upazila. ‘She is not his wife. I will let everyone know more facts about this. ‘

The minister said he did not know why Hefazat people attacked the resort after the incident was broadcast on television.

Hefazat leader Mamunul along with a woman were detained at the resort by locals on Saturday. Mamunul Haque claimed the woman as his second wife. Hefazat activists and his followers attacked and vandalized the resort at night when news of his arrest spread. Later they took Mamunul away from there.
