The Ministry of Religion has banned the holding of Iftar and Sehri in the country’s mosques during the holy month of Ramadan to prevent the transmission of the corona virus. Besides, the congregation has been called to follow the 10 guidelines including following the hygiene rules.
This information was given through an emergency notification on Monday (April 5). Local administration and law enforcement agencies have been informed to take legal action against the concerned officials if they do not follow the instructions.
The guidelines say that in order to ensure public safety, the guidelines of the health care department, local administration and law enforcement agencies must be followed. Iftar and Sehri cannot be organized in the mosque. Khatibs and Imams will offer prayers at the court of the great Rabbul Alamin after the prayers to save them from the corona virus epidemic.
The conditions are: –
Soap-water with hand sanitizer or hand washing system should be kept at the entrance of the mosque and the worshiper must come to the mosque after wearing a mask.
Everyone should perform ablution from their home and perform sunnat prayers at home and come to the mosque. When doing aju, wash your hands with soap for at least 20 seconds.
Carpets cannot be laid in the mosque. Before the five daily prayers, the entire mosque has to be cleaned with disinfectant, each of the worshipers has to bring the Jainamaz on his own responsibility.
Social distance must be ensured in standing for prayers in Qatar.
Children, the elderly, the sick and the sick should refrain from attending congregations.
