A housewife has killed her husband with the help of her boyfriend for obstructing a stranger in Kalihati upazila of Tangail. The deceased was identified as Chan Mia, 45.
Police recovered Chan Mia’s body from a septic tank near his house in Banshi village of Elenga municipality in the upazila on Tuesday morning. Police have arrested Rezia Begum and her boyfriend Abdul Halim in the incident.
The housewife confessed to the police that her wife and her boyfriend Abdul Halim suffocated the young man to death in Banshi village of Elenga municipality on Saturday night.
The deceased was identified as Chan Mia, son of Montaz Ali of Banshi village in Elenga municipality.
It is learned that the family suspects the statement of the murderous wife claiming that her husband is missing after the murder. Police were later informed. During interrogation of police wife Rezia Begum, she confessed to killing her husband on Tuesday morning. According to her, the police later recovered her husband’s body from the septic tank. The body was sent to Tangail General Hospital Morgue.
Kalihati Police Station OC (investigation) Rahedul Islam said the brutal murder took place on Saturday night. Rezia Begum is the mother of two children. Her husband had an affair with Abdul Halim of the same village. The husband prevented this. So enraged, Rezia and Halim suffocated Chan Mia to death on Saturday night and left the body in a septic tank next to the house.
Tanore police have arrested Debor Sufal (31) for trying to rape widow Baudi in Tanore, Rajshahi. He was arrested from Rajshahi metropolis on Sunday night. He was sent to jail around noon after the legal process on Monday.
According to police and local sources, Sufal had been making bad proposals to his widow Baudi since his elder brother died about two years ago. At around 8.30 am on March 30, Sufal went to the door of his house and called. As soon as the door of the house was opened, Sufal grabbed her and tried to rape her.
Seeing the people of the house and the house next door running towards Baudi, Sufal ran away. On the same day, Baudi filed a written complaint with the Tanore police station accusing Sufal.
In this regard, Tanore Police Station OC Rakibul Hasan said, after investigating the allegation, evidence of truth was found. The complaint against Sufal was later recorded as a case at the police station.
The OC added that Sufal had been on the run since the incident. He was arrested from Rajshahi metropolis on the basis of secret information and sent to jail.
