Brother was killed by his sister due to a dispute over five thousand rupees

Due to the conflict with the loan of five thousand rupees in Baragram village of Natore chokapara sister’s brother hit the stick. Monirul Islam (35) was killed. The incident took place on Tuesday (April 6) night. Police have arrested Ummehani, 32, and her elder brother Manik Hossain, 40, involved in the incident.

Baraigram police officer in charge (OC) said. Anwarul Islam said Monirul had borrowed Rs 5,000 from his elder brother Manik a few months ago. Conflict arose between them as they did not repay the loan for a long time. On Tuesday morning, Monirul expressed his inability to borrow money. In view of this, Sharifa Begum, wife of elder brother Manik, tied a goat of Monirul in the afternoon. So Monirul took the goat with the money. But the opposite happened.

He further said that there was a quarrel between them in the evening. At one point their honest sister Ummehani, who was present, got involved in the incident. At one stage of the fight, sister Ummehani hit Monirul on the head with a stick. Monirul was injured and died on the spot. After receiving the news, the police went to the spot and recovered the body and sent it to the morgue of Natore Sadar Hospital for autopsy.

Meanwhile, Feni Sonagazi road accident. A young man named Fahad (20) was killed. The deceased was identified as Abdul Aziz Khokon of Omar Ali Sareng Bari near Nabiullah Bazar in Charchandia Union of Fahad upazila. The accident took place around 9:30 pm on Tuesday (April 6).

Police and eyewitnesses said a covered van and a motorcycle collided head-on in front of the Iranian Hotel on Takiya Road in Sonagazi Municipal Town around 9:30 pm. The motorcyclist Fahad was seriously injured. When the locals immediately rescued him and took him to Sonagazi Upazila Health Complex, the doctor on duty declared Arafat Hossain dead.

Sonagazi Model Police Officer in Charge (OC) said. Sajedul Islam said the driver and helper of the covered van were arrested soon after the accident.
