It has been alleged that a private educational institution called ‘Anyarkam Vidyaniketan’ in Paranpur area of Kazipur upazila of Sirajganj is conducting teaching activities without following the hygiene rules ignoring the instructions of the government. There is a possibility of corona risk among the students. However, on Tuesday (April 7) morning, when the journalists went to the institution, the teaching was stopped and the students were also given a quick leave.
It can be seen on the spot that the main gate of the school is closed. Only the small pocket gate is open. The class is going on inside. But there is no way to understand the scene of class from the outside. Sensing the presence of the journalist, the authorities stopped teaching at the school. Shortly afterwards, the students were seen returning home with books on their bicycles. Many of them did not have masks on their faces. Many students ran away after seeing the journalist. When some students were stopped and questioned, they said that classes are held every morning.
Afrin Begum, the wife of another director of Vidyaniketan, said the school had been closed. Students came to the school to fill out forms. However, when the fifth graders want to know which exam form to fill, he tactfully avoids it.
Yasin Ali, the director of the school, said no classes were held at the school. However, the students came to fill the JSC form.
Kazipur Upazila Nirbahi Officer Zahid Hasan Siddiqui said, I came to know about the matter today. Talked to school authorities. School authorities said students came to fill out the form. However, the matter is being investigated. We will keep an eye on that school.
