A 16-year-old girl from Nepal came to Ashta in Sehore district of Madhya Pradesh to meet her friend on Facebook. The girl told the police that she had to live with her boyfriend. Police has informed the family of the minor. Also, after conducting the corona investigation, the girl has been handed over to a child welfare committee. Police gave this information on Sunday.
Police (SDOP) Mohan Sarwan said that the teenager from Nepal had been in contact with a 20-year-old man from Mubarikpur Mandali in Ashta in Sehore district, Madhya Pradesh, for the last two years. She reached Ashta from Nepal to meet him on Saturday. He said that according to the information given by the teenager, she came from Nepal to India by air and then reached Ashta by road using various modes of traffic including bus.
Sarwan said that the young man with whom he has befriended on Facebook, works at a medical store in Ashta. He said that this young man told the police that this teenager had come to Asta from Nepal to meet him. After the Kovid-19 investigation, the teenager has been handed over to a child welfare committee in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, about 80 km from Ashta. The family of the teenager has also been informed and this committee is making arrangements to send her back to Nepal.
