The Meteorological Department has forecast a thunderstorm in four parts of the country and two districts. The divisions are Dhaka, Sylhet, Mymensingh and Chittagong. There is a possibility of temporary gusts / winds and rain / thunderstorms over these areas.
The Meteorological Department said in a 24-hour forecast for the next 24 hours on Monday (April 19). Elsewhere in the country, the weather is expected to be mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy skies.

Meanwhile, mild to moderate heat waves are prevailing over Dhaka and Khulna divisions including Rangamati, Noakhali, Feni, Srimangal, Rajshahi and Pabna regions, which may subside in some areas.
Weather conditions may change slightly over the next 48 hours. However, there is a possibility of rain or thunderstorms in the extended 5-day weather.
In the last 24 hours, the highest temperature recorded in Rajshahi was 39.6 degrees Celsius. The lowest temperature in Tentulia was 21 degrees Celsius. Besides, 37 degrees Celsius was recorded in Dhaka, 36.5 degrees in Ishwardi, 36.7 degrees in Jessore, 38.6 degrees in Chuadanga and 36 degrees in Khulna.
Most of the western light pressure is located in the foothills of the Himalayas in West Bengal and adjoining areas. The meteorological office also said that the normal light pressure of the season is in the Bay of Bengal.
