In response to Modi’s call, Juna Akhra decided to close the Kumbh Mela

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Adheshwananda Giri of Juna Akhra last Saturday after receiving news that 30 saints had been attacked at the Kumbh Mela. He searched for the bodies of the saints attacked by Corona.

Besides, Modi requested a symbolic religious gathering considering the Corona epidemic situation. Later, the Prime Minister of India tweeted that.

“I called Swami Adheshwananda Giriji today to inquire about the condition of the saints,” he tweeted. The saints are helping the administration in every possible way. I thank them for this.

Their Acharya informed the decision on behalf of Pane Juna Akhra. The administration has sent a medical team to each arena. RT-PCR test of saints is being done.

Before Juna Akhra, Niranjan Akhra also decided to close the Kumbh Mela about two weeks before the scheduled time. The BJP government in Uttarakhand had earlier announced that the Kumbh Mela would run as per the rules and would end on April 30.

The government also said that the Corona rules should be followed properly at the Aquarius Fair, so that infection can be avoided. But in reality it did not happen. Several saints have been reported to be infected.

Meanwhile, one crore 53 lakh 14 thousand 614 people have been identified as infected with coronavirus in India so far and one lakh 60 thousand 550 people have died.
