‘Those who have tarnished madrassas and mosques in custody will not be allowed to enter’

Jahangir Kabir Nanak, a member of the Awami League’s presidium, said, “The announcement of the convening committee in the early hours of the morning within hours of the announcement of the dissolution of the central committee of Hifazat-e-Islam has been covered with fish.” “Those in Hifazat who have tarnished madrassas and mosques will no longer be allowed to enter madrassas and mosques to protect the sanctity of madrassas and mosques,” he said. The announcement came just hours after the announcement of the dissolution of the central committee of Hefazat-e-Islam on Sunday night, just hours after the announcement of the seven-member convening committee.

He was speaking at the inaugural function of the ‘Crop Cutting’ festival of ‘Bangabandhu in Grain Picture’ at Balenda in Sherpur Upazila of Bogra on Monday noon.

Nanak said, “People of the country have repeatedly rejected the BNP. That is why the BNP has been involved in various conspiracies and carried out destruction. BNP Jamaat and Hefazat have taken one rupee at a time.

“The central committee of Hefazat-e-Islam announced its dissolution at midnight yesterday, within hours of the announcement of the seven-member convening committee. When Mamunul Haque started admitting everything one by one.

“Then the committee was dissolved and a new committee was announced to cover the fish with vegetables. They will not be given a chance to cover the fish with these vegetables. All the people of the country have to be vigilant to resist them.”
Jahangir Kabir Nanak said that these leaders of Hifazat will not be allowed to enter the mosque or madrasa. “Those in Hifazat who have tarnished the madrasa and desecrated the Baitul Mukarram mosque will not be allowed to enter the madrasa and mosque.”

Criticizing the BNP at the time, the Awami League leader said, “BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that the lockdown has been given to suppress their leaders and workers.
Awami League joint general secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim said, “I will deal with the anti-religious forces of this country, the anti-liberation forces, with ideological thinking. The country is at the root of communalism, it is hampering the development of the country, it is endangering the young society, it is hampering the spirit of the liberation war by using religion.
“Sometimes they are BNP, sometimes Jamaat, sometimes Shibir and now they are trying to take advantage in the name of Hifazat-e-Islam. Using religion, these Hifazat are trying to take political advantage by depoliticizing.”
Calling on Hifazat to resist, the Awami League joint general secretary said, “We are united against this reactionary force. We will protect Bangladesh from these religious businessmen. Whatever their name may be, we will not allow the liberation war to be disrupted.” I will resist them.
“These religion traders are more dangerous than the Corona virus. Let’s fight them together.”

Awami League Organizing Secretary SM Kamal Hossain said, “Those who are protesting in the name of Hifazat-e-Islam today are basically the custodians of Jamaat-BNP. They are not the custodians of Islam, they are religious businessmen. Our fight is against this force.”

“Today’s Babungari-Mamunul Haque is a follower of the sponsors of the Liberation War, the 1975 massacre and the 2004 grenade attack.
