Awami League joint general secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim said, “I will deal with the anti-religious forces of this country, the anti-liberation forces, with ideological thinking. The country is at the root of communalism, it is hampering the development of the country, it is endangering the young society, it is hampering the spirit of the liberation war by using religion.
“Sometimes they are BNP, sometimes Jamaat, sometimes Shibir and now they are trying to take advantage in the name of Hifazat-e-Islam. Using religion, these Hifazat are trying to take political advantage by depoliticizing.”
Calling on Hifazat to resist, the Awami League joint general secretary said, “We are united against this reactionary force. We will protect Bangladesh from these religious businessmen. Whatever their name may be, we will not allow the liberation war to be disrupted.” I will resist them.
