The millionaire BCL leader from Gazipur has been remanded for two days

Gazipur yaba business to become a millionaire forest discussed BCL leader. Rezaul Karim has been remanded for two days by the police.

Police produced Rezaul in the Gazipur Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday morning after his arrest. A 7-day remand was demanded there. The judge granted him a two-day remand and ordered him sent to jail.

Gazipur Metropolitan Tongi East Police arrested Rezaul around 12:30 pm on Tuesday.

On April 26, a detailed report on Rezaul Karim’s drug business was published in the daily Jugantar under the headline ‘Chhatra League leader’s phone conversation with drug lord leaked’. Gazipur Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner of Police Zakir Hasan said that apart from drug involvement, there was an extortion case against Rezaul at GMP’s Tongi West police station. He was arrested from his home in Dattapara area under Tongi East police station around 12:30 pm on Tuesday.

He added that another drug dealer named Nabin Hossain was arrested on the same day. According to the confession of the accused Zakir Hossain in remand, the fugitive accused Md. Rezaul Karim and Md. Nabin Hossain was arrested. Two hundred and ninety-four pure cannabis and 500 pieces of yaba tablets were recovered from him.

After extensive questioning, Naveen confessed to the police that Rezaul Karim had provided him with 500 Yaba tablets for sale. A case has been filed with Tongi East Police Station in this regard.

The Chhatra League leader used to bring drugs from Cox’s Bazar and Teknaf and deliver them to various traders in Tongi.

Most recently, on April 1, Rezaul demanded Tk 5 lakh from local businessman Sajjadul Islam Monir. The businessman’s wife Shilpi Akhter lodged a complaint with the Tongi West Police Station.


The skeleton of a missing child (9) has been recovered from a pond in Chittagong.

Police recovered the baby’s skeleton from the pond at Bayazid Bostami’s shrine on Tuesday evening.

The deceased was identified as Nur Alam. He lived with his family in a slum near the tomb of Bayazid Bostami. His father Nur Mohammad’s house is in Habiganj, police said.
