BNP standing committee member Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain and his wife Bilkis Akhter Hossain have been admitted to hospital with the corona virus.

They were admitted to Square Hospital around 9:30 pm on Tuesday. Khandaker Musharraf is a former MP of Comilla-2 constituency. Apart from health, he was also the Minister of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources and Home Minister during the BNP regime. At one time he also taught in the Department of Geology, Dhaka University.
It is said that due to the indifference of the government, the situation of Kovid-19 infection has deteriorated rapidly. State counsel Advocate Aslam Sarkar said Rajpara Police Station OC and case investigation officer Mazharul Islam submitted the investigation report to the court on Wednesday. After hearing the court report, the accused issued arrest warrants against four BNP leaders. At the same time, the next day of the case was fixed on April 28.

A sedition case was filed in the Rajshahi Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court on March 16 after receiving approval from the Home Ministry. The court took cognizance of the case and directed the OC of Rajpara Police Station to investigate and submit a report.
