Hefazat-e-Islam leaders and activists have been arrested and processions have been organized in different parts of the country, including the Baitul Mukarram Mosque premises, after Friday prayers in protest of the police attack on Hefazat-e-Islam leaders and activists and the killing of some organizers.
Maulana Jonaid Al Habib, central joint secretary of Hifazat-e-Islam and president of the Dhaka metropolis, warned at a protest rally at the north gate of the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in the capital after Friday prayers.
The mosque cannot be closed for the sake of Corona. God did not give. I will sit in the mosque and ask for his release to get rid of Corona. There is no instruction to close Qawmi Madrasa in the notification of the government. However, attempts are being made to close Qawmi Madrasa and Islamic gatherings on the pretext of this corona. If the madrasa is closed, there will be a strong movement in the streets.
Allama Mamunul Haque, central joint secretary general of Hifazat-e-Islam and general secretary of Dhaka metropolis, said at the rally that Hifazat is not a narrator. If you don’t mind, today BNP, tomorrow Jamaat becomes Hefazat. Hefazat relies on Allah for its own strength, Hefazat alone is enough. Whenever there is a conspiracy against the country, against the faith, against Islam – then Hefazat will come down to the streets without shedding anyone’s blood. Custody cannot be suppressed by showing warmth and fear in anyone’s eyes. From Teknaf to Tentulia means custody. Bangladesh means custody. The breasts of 20 mothers became empty. IGP did not see you expressing grief.
Another central leader, Ahmed Ali Qasemi, said all those killed so far had been shot by police. The family of the deceased will have to pay compensation of Rs 1 crore. The wounded must be treated, the prisoners must be released. Another leader Shakhawat Hossain Razi said, it is a movement to defend the country, a movement to protect faith. We are on the field with the desire of martyrdom. Hefazat will come down the highway whenever needed.
