Inspection of Bangabandhu’s mausoleum complex is temporarily closed

The local administration has suspended the visit of visitors to the tomb complex of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Tungipara till further orders due to the outbreak of the Corona epidemic.

Tungipara Upazila Nirbahi Officer AKM Hedayetullah said the decision would be effective from Thursday (April 1) until further instructions. Therefore, visitors are requested not to enter the mausoleum complex at this time.

Nurul Islam, assistant curator of the Samadhi Soudha Complex of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Tungipara, said visitors will be temporarily barred from entering the Samadhi Soudha Complex from tomorrow, April 1, on the instructions of senior officials of the Public Works Department.

Gopalganj Deputy Commissioner Shahida Sultana confirmed the matter and said, “We are working to implement the 18 points directed by the government to prevent corona.” It has been decided to restrict the movement of people to various important places including the Tomb of the Father of the Nation to avoid public gatherings and we are working accordingly.
