Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has sought the help of the people to control the coronavirus infection. Considering the current situation, the Prime Minister urged not to hold wedding ceremonies, to take care of public gatherings, not to go for tourism, not to go out unnecessarily and to abide by the hygiene rules.
Leader of Parliament Sheikh Hasina made the call while participating in the discussion of condolence motion in the National Assembly on Thursday. The condolence motion was brought on the death of Mahmud Us Samad Chowdhury, a member of the ruling party in the current parliament. Besides, the death of eminent persons of the country was also mourned in the Parliament. As is customary, the first sitting of the session after the death of a member of the current parliament is adjourned after mourning. The Prime Minister further said that everything has to be controlled in the way it was controlled first. I have already given some instructions.
Referring to the 16 points of the government in controlling the infection, the Prime Minister said the government is trying to bring the infection under control gradually again. He needs the help of the people. At the same time, the Prime Minister advised to wear a mask all the time, take hot water vapor and apply top oil on the nose.
Expressing grief over the death of Mahmud Us Samad, Leader of the House Sheikh Hasina said, “It is unfortunate that many members of this Parliament have lost.” Mahmud Us Samad Chowdhury was a good organizer. He had an interest in working for the people. Talked to him a few days ago, he was active all the time. He left without taking any action for treatment. Regarding the late BNP leader Moudud Ahmed, the Prime Minister said that Moudud Ahmed had written that he was a lawyer in the Agartala conspiracy case. He was especially close to Barrister Amirul Islam.
