Taiwan’s foreign minister has said China is pressuring Paraguay to sever diplomatic ties with the country in exchange for the corona vaccine. Paraguay is one of the few Latin American countries to recognize Taiwan as an independent territory.
Taiwan’s foreign minister has called on vaccine-producing countries to co-operate with Paraguay in purchasing the corona vaccine. In response to his call, India has also announced to give one lakh doses of corona vaccine to Paraguay.
